1973:
Neil Hanscomb leaves his CPA firm to join San Francisco Herb Co. Catnip, a wildcrafted product, is collected along the stream beds of southeast U.S. and sold to natural food stores.

1977:
Neil Hanscomb buys a Radio Shack PC, teaches himself to program it, and is the first in the USA to use a PC for UPS shipping manifests.

1983:
Neil Hanscomb buys current facility, a 26,000 square foot concrete building on 14th street, San Francisco.

1987:
Neil Hanscomb inquires about catnip and the pet industry with then owner of Aspen Pet Products on the beach in Los Barriles, Baja California, Mexico while on a windsurfing trip.

1992:
Neil Hanscomb launches Cape Cod Herb Co., a test mail order catnip company on the east coast in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

1993:
Neil Hanscomb buys a warehouse in No.Truro, MA and launches Atlantic Spice Co. as a sister company to San Francisco Herb Co.

1997:
Neil Hanscomb attempts to provide the pet industry with catnip. He withdraws from the market when quality and reliability issues could not be resolved.

2001:
Neil Hanscomb builds relationship with Albertan farmer for harvested commodity crop of catnip which is plentiful and of superior quality. He introduces this material to the pet industry.

2002:
Neil Hanscomb launches High Grown brand catnip in tubs and bags for pet industry.
